The Cape Fear region is beautiful to visit by land and sea, but nothing compares to a bird’s eye view! Narrated by our pilots, learn about the history of the Cape Fear region while taking in the beautiful sights from the air. All of our tours include Dolphin, Sea Turtle, and Shark spotting opportunities.

Each passenger must be less than 275lbs and able to be secured with a seat belt.
Any tour can become a SUNSET TOUR for an additional $50.
Note: Due to our tour reservation volume, requests for cancellations or refunds must be submitted 24 hours prior to your tour reservation time. Refunds cannot be issued for “no shows” or cancellations within 24 hours of your tour reservation time. Tours that cannot be flown due to weather will be rescheduled. Thank you for understanding.

ST. JAMES TOUR

Come see the beautiful township of St. James plantation from the air. You will see the 4 legendary golf courses, the full service marina, the beach club, and not to mention the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway. This tour goes around St James to the Lockwood Folly river and down to the Atlantic ocean on the west end of Oak Island where the USS Iron Age rests after its shipwreck during the Civil War.St.

This tour starts with both lighthouses before taking you all the way around Bald Head Island and out to the magnificent point of Cape Fear itself! Spot sea turtles and sharks swimming off Frying Pan Shoals as you enjoy a breathtaking view of the NC coast looking north and west from the cape.

OAK ISLAND TOUR

Take a tour of the beautiful Town of Oak Island. Get a chance to fly along the Intracoastal Waterway. See the historic shipwreck of the USS Iron Age while you make your way up Oak Island towards the Oak Island Lighthouse and Old Baldy Lighthouse while finally getting a scenic view of Fort Caswell.

This tour will show you everything the Cape Fear region has to offer! Start off venturing up the Cape Fear River to visit the USS North Carolina Battleship. Check out the diverse historic architecture of Downtown Wilmington as you make your way over to Wrightsville Beach. From then on it’s miles of beaches and historic sites, as you fly over unscathed Masonboro Island, then Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, Fort Fisher, the NC Aquarium, Bald Head Island, Fort Caswell, & Oak Island, capturing stunning photos of the lighthouses and more.

We fly the Robinson R44 Raven I helicopter, manufactured by the Robinson Helicopter Company in Torrance, California. The R44 is known for excellent safety and reliability, smooth handling, and superior comfort. The spacious cockpit is air conditioned and contains two rows of seats.
The 2-by-2 seat configuration allows one passenger to sit up front next to the pilot, with two passengers in the rear of the helicopter. All seats are window seats and the open cabin design allows for unobstructed viewing. Headsets with two-way intercom permit open communication with your pilot. In every aspect, the R44 is ideally suited to providing you with a comfortable, enjoyable and safe air tour.

Do you think you are interested in flight training? Do you want to enjoy a scenic flight of Bald Head Island? You can sit in the pilot’s seat and fly a helicopter or Cessna for the first time while under the supervision of a professional flight instructor. You can also sit back and take in the beautiful vistas if you prefer. If you take the controls, your instructor will explain the helicopter or Cessna’s operational systems and you will receive official safety training in our aircraft.
